Hi, I’m Rachel!
-
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Arizona and have been working in the behavioral health field for over 10 years. I love traveling and spending time with my kids, husband, and pugs but am a homebody at heart.
I love to spend my free time playing video games, going to the gym, researching maps and history, and am a big fan of the Elder Scrolls series, Zelda and The Witcher.
As a child, I struggled with navigating my identity — as a biracial Hispanic kid with undiagnosed neurodivergence I did not fit in any boxes. After getting diagnosed in college and receiving therapy, I was able to find hope in understanding and accepting who I am while finding ways to navigate relationships, work, school, and channel my AuDHD mind in positive ways.
I love to provide a safe space for this same kind of self-discovery and use research-based assessment tools, a diagnostic interview with DSM-5 criteria, exploration of common traits identified by the Autistic/ADHD community, as I know how validating and powerful having answers to what makes you different can be.
In our sessions, I put the therapeutic relationship front and center, building an authentic connection with trust and safety first — then we work together to find strategies and changes to manage executive functioning skills. The increased awareness of your identity and development of routines, structure, and tools come together in a way that allows you to live a more authentic, unmasked life while equipping yourself with more strategies to tackle the day to day hustle.
Let’s build a life that’s kind to your nervous system.
