Individual & Family Therapy with Clarissa, Clinical Intern

Ages 5+, families, and adults online in Arizona and in office in Northwest Tucson.

Hi there!

I am accepting new clients, read on to learn more about my services!

  • am a counselor in training currently earning my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Arizona. As both a developing clinician and a fellow human, I value humility, authenticity, compassion, curiosity, and self-awareness. I am a calm, flexible, humorous, easy-going and adventurous person.

I believe therapy is most meaningful when you feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood—without needing to perform, explain yourself perfectly, or have everything figured out. I take a collaborative, humanistic approach, incorporating existential, person-centered, and DBT-informed practices. I am drawn to working with individuals who are exploring identity, navigating life transitions, or searching for a deeper sense of meaning and purpose. My goal is to meet you where you are at and walk alongside you as you make sense of your experiences.

Outside of therapy, I stay grounded by spending meaningful time with loved ones, being outdoors (especially hiking or simply appreciating nature), enjoying good food, going to the gym, traveling, and caring for my two sweet cats. These practices help me stay present, connected, and regulated so I can show up fully for you.

My approach to therapy has been shaped by my own growth and life experiences. From a young age, I was deeply curious about the world and became aware of the unspoken social expectations that often shape belonging and connection. Learning to navigate those dynamics helped me develop an appreciation for individuality while also understanding how larger systems influence how we move through life. Those experiences allow me to see the world through multiple lenses— yours, mine, and the broader context surrounding us.
