Payment Options
-
We are primarily a private pay practice, which means we are not in network with most insurance plans and payment is out of pocket.
We offer super bills which are receipts of your payments that you can submit to insurance for potential reimbursement or application towards your deductible.
We recommend calling the number on the back of your insurance card to see if your plan has out of network benefits for mental health.
-
We are in network with Aetna but will be phasing out of our contract on May 1st, 2026, at which point we will no longer be in-network and will continue to work with Aetna clients on an out-of-network status.
Being out of network provides flexibility for your treatment:
Complete freedom to choose what treatment approaches we feel are appropriate.
Doesn’t dictate/limit how often we are allowed to meet.
Removes requirement to put a major mental health diagnosis in the chart that is permanent in the record.
Increased privacy and confidentiality. This can be especially helpful with children who’s records are permanent.
Insurance does not panel with interns or associately licensed clinicians (LACs, LMSWs), leaving a smaller amount of clinicians who can take insurance (fully licensed - LPCs, LCSWs). This limits the amount of providers we can offer and slows down treatment, leading to waitlists and lack of access to care.
Because we work largely with children and young adults, it’s important that we can offer a variety of scheduling options and clinicians that are working towards their full licensure are often more flexible and open with providing evenings and weekends.
For those who are able to panel with insurance, the reimbursement rates are extremely low and difficult to sustain as a business or individual, leading to burnout, larger caseloads, less time to research and attend trainings, and often leads to providers leaving the field, or closures of private practices.
Our hope is that by being independent from insurance, we can have greater flexibility and autonomy, be more accessible and available, and provide consistent and high quality care.
Please reach out if you would like help finding someone in network with your insurance plan and we will do our best to support you!
-
Our licensed team accepts ESA funding: Alex (OT) and Krista, Bria, Maya, and Rachel (Therapists).
Our Clinical Interns are not licensed and therefore cannot accept ESA funding.
-
Our team holds a limited number of reduced fee slots to account for not being paneled with insurance plans and stay accessible.
Please feel free to ask your desired provider if they have an opening, we will do our best to work with your budget.
We also have several Clinical Interns who are able to provide low cost services and some pro bono slots.
